The Wedding Yacht’s Executive Chef Natasha Harris and The Wedding Yacht’s culinary team are proud to be officially recognized for their sustainable menu options by becoming Ocean Wise certified by The Vancouver Aquarium.
We are now the only private charter group in Vancouver that bears the Ocean Wise mark.
This means that we are being recognized for using products that adhere to Ocean Wise’s strict guidelines for sustainable seafood including:
– Using abundant and resilient fishing procedures
– Having well managed practices including up to date research on the species
– Are harvested in a method that ensures limited bycatch on target and endangered species
– Are harvested in ways that limit damage to marine or aquatic habitats and negative interactions with other species
Our Executive Chef has always been a huge supporter of using only Ocean Wise certified Seafood products, and designs all her menu items based on this conscious choice. We are very pleased to announce this recognition and know that our clients will appreciate this valued accomplishment.
